A conference was conducted on 12/05/2008 with the participation of stake holders to get the views of the industry and also the Ayurvedic specialists as to how Sri Lankan Ayurveda can be used to attract Tourists.

A curriculum is being prepared by the panel to train the Ayurvedic masseurs in the Tourism sector with the collaboration of Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management and the Department of Ayurveda.

The tourists hotels offering Ayurvedic services have been made compulsory to possess the registration with Department of Ayurveda.
